<li>1 pound beef cube steaks</li>
<li>1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided</li>
<li>2 tablespoons all-purpose flour</li>
<li>1 cup milk</li>
<li>1/4 teaspoon salt</li>
<li>1/4 teaspoon pepper</li>
</ul>
<p>This is one of the best chicken fried steak recipes. Stir together first 3 ingredients in a shallow dish. Combine buttermilk and hot sauce in a bowl. Dredge steaks in flour mixture; dip into buttermilk mixture, and dip again in flour mixture. Heat 1/4 cup oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks, and cook 5 minutes on each side. Remove from skillet. Drain steaks on paper towels. Heat remaining 2 tablespoons oil in skillet; whisk in 2 tablespoons flour, and cook, whisking constantly, 5 minutes or until light golden brown. Gradually whisk in milk; cook, whisking constantly, over medium heat until thickened and bubbly (about 10 minutes). Stir in 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Serve over steak. There are others but this is one of the best chicken fried steak recipes</p>

It is simple and easy to prepare.</p>

<li>1 1/2 lbs chopped steak</li>
<li>3 tbsps grated onion</li>
<li>2 tsps salt</li>
<li>freshly ground pepper</li>
<li>1 tsp flour</li>
<li>1/2 cup milk</li>
</ul>
<p>Combine hamburger steak, onion, salt, and pepper and shape into patties. Heat heavy skillet, add steak patties, broil on both sides, and remove to heated platter. Add the teaspoon of flour to pan drippings, brown, and then stir in milk, simmer and pour over steak patties. I recommend chopped beef with a higher fat content rather than low for this hamburger steak recipe as it will make for a better gravy.</p>
<p>Add mashed potatoes and a vegetable for a satisfying meal.</p>

<h2>Pepper Steak Recipe</h2>

<li>2 1/2 lbs steak, one inch thick, cut into one inch strip</li>
<li>2 tbsps oil</li>
<li>1 medium onion, minced</li>
<li>1 clove garlic, minced</li>
<li>1 tsp salt</li>
<li>1 tsp freshly ground pepper</li>
<li>2 green peppers, diced</li>
<li>1 tsp meat glaze dissolved in 2 tbsps hot water</li>
<li>1 cup drained tomatoes</li>
<li>1 tbsp cornstarch</li>
<li>2 tsps soy sauce</li>
<li>1/4 cup water</li>
</ul>
<p>Place oil, onion, and garlic in a heavy skillet and simmer a few minutes. Add steak strips, seasoned with salt and pepper. Add peppers and meat glaze solution, cover, and cook 1/2 hour. Add tomatoes and simmer 5 minutes longer. Combine cornstarch and soy sauce with water and add to steak mixture, cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. This pepper steak recipe serves four.</p>
<p>Steak cuts recommended for this pepper steak recipe include round, top sound sirloin, chuck and minute or cube.</p>

<ul>
<li>1 lb  1/4 inch sirloin tips (cut in serving pieces)</li>
<li>2 tbsps olive oil</li>
<li>1/4 cup chopped onion</li>
<li>1 clove garlic, chopped</li>
<li>1 tsp salt</li>
<li>1 beef bouillon cube</li>
<li>1 cup hot water</li>
<li>2 cups cooked tomatoes</li>
<li>1 large green pepper, sliced </li>
<li>2 tbsps cornstarch</li>
<li>1/4 cup cold water</li>
<li>2 tbsps soy sauce</li>
</ul>
<p>Brown meat in olive oil. Add onion and garlic for the last 10 minutes. Drain oil. Season. Dissolve the bouillon cube in hot water and add to meat. Cover and<br />
simmer 20 to 25 minutes. Add tomatoes and green pepper. Cook 10 minutes longer.</p>
<p>Combine remaining ingredients and stir into meat. Bring to boil. Cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes longer.</p>
<p>Serve with hot noodles or rice. This one of those pepper steak recipes that can also be made into a sandwich.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There aren&#8217;t many good leftover steak recipes, but by adding this tasty sauce it will make an otherwise boring dish more exciting.</p>
<ul>
<li>2 1/2 lbs boneless leftover steak</li>
<li>5 tbsps butter</li>
<li>1/2 cup Burgundy (or other dry red wine)</li>
<li>1/2 tbsp paprika</li>
<li>salt</li>
<li>freshly ground pepper</li>
<li>6 sliced toasted French bread, cut into strips</li>
</ul>
<p>Cut leftover steak diagonally into thin slices and place in warm oven. Make the following sauce:</p>
<ul>
<li>brown the butter slowly in a skillet, add wine and paprika</li>
<li>bubble slowly until sauce is somewhat reduced.</li>
<li>Season steak slices with salt and pepper and add to the sauce for a few minutes.</li>
<li>Place on strips of toast, spoon sauce over all, and serve.</li>
</ul>
<p>Serves four.This is one of those leftover steak recipes that deserve a try.</p>

<p>INGREDIENTS:</p>
<ul>
<li>1 1/2 pounds cube steak</li>
<li>1 tsp salt</li>
<li>1/2 tsp dried marjoram leaves, crushed</li>
<li>1/8 tsp pepper</li>
<li>1 envelope mushroom gravy mix</li>
<li>1 can (3 to 4 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained</li>
<li>2 tbsps red wine, optional</li>
<li>1 tbsp oil for pan</li>
</ul>
<p>Prepare gravy mix as package directs; stir in mushrooms and wine, if using, salt, marjoram, and pepper; mix well. Set aside and keep warm. Pan-broil steak in a heavy, oiled<br />
skillet for 3 to 4 minutes; turn and broil other side of steak for about 4 minutes, or until done as desired. Pour gravy over cube steak and serve with potatoes. This salisbury steak recipe serves 6.</p>

<p>3 lbs Porterhouse steak<br />
1 clove garlic, crushed<br />
salt<br />
freshly ground pepper<br />
1 tbsp butter</p>
<p>Trim excess fat from steak, slash edges of remaining fat. Spread steak with crushed garlic. Place on oiled grill about 3&#8243; above a thick bed of hot coals (be generous with the charcoal). Grill about 12 minutes until nicely crusted. Turn, season cooked side with salt and pepper, and grill to desired doneness. Remove to heated carving board or platter, seasoned side down, place butter beneath, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.</p>
<p>Serves four. This is one of the simpler but tastier<br />
grilled steak recipes.</p>

<h2>Cube Steaks Coventry Style</h2>
<ul>
<li>8 cube steaks, 1/4 lb each</li>
<li>6 tbsps oil</li>
<li>flour</li>
<li>salt</li>
<li>freshly ground pepper</li>
<li>1 cup chopped onion</li>
<li>2 tbsps vinegar</li>
<li>1 tbsp brown sugar</li>
<li>1 cup catsup</li>
<li>4 tbsps Worcestershire sauce</li>
<li>1 cup cream</li>
</ul>
<p>Heat oil in a heavy skillet. Dip steaks in flour, season with salt and pepper, put into skillet, and brown on both sides. Add onion. Add vinegar, brown sugar, catsup, Worcestershire sauce and cream. Cook slowly for 15 minutes and serve.</p>
<h3>A nice side dish to go with this cube steak recipe:</h3>
<h4>Hashed Brown Potatoes</h4>

<li>4 large potatoes</li>
<li>2 tbsps butter</li>
<li>3 tbsps vegetable oil</li>

<p>Put potatoes in their skins into a saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Then simmer for about 30 minutes or until just done. Remove from water, cool in refrigerator, then remove skins. Chop into cubes. Fry in skillet in butter and oil over high heat, turning frequently so that all sides become uniformly browned. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Serve with this cube steak recipe for a nice meal.</p>

<p>Marinade<br />
Mix together:<br />
1/2 cup dry white wine<br />
1/2 cup olive oil (or vegetable oil)<br />
2 tbsps lemon juice<br />
1 tsp salt<br />
1 large onion, grated<br />
1 tsp freshly ground pepper</p>
<p>This flank steak recipe calls for 2 pounds of 1 inch thick flank steak. Place the steak in a receptacle just large enough to contain it. Pour on the marinade so that it completely covers it. Close the receptacle and place it in the refrigerator usually overnight. Stir from time to time. Remove the steak saving some of the marinade for<br />
